Alfredo Diaz is a 7-year-old boy who lives in Chicago's Humboldt Park. He spent the first 3 years of his life in and out of the hospital, and was diagnosed with IL-10 Reception Deficiency, a disorder so rare that there are only 34 cases in the world. His only hope for a cure is a blood stem cell transplant from a compatible donor. He has not add a perfect match with any family members or donors on the registry. Even with the difficulties he has faced in his young life, he maintains a positive spirit. He has dreams of becoming a barista, or as he calls it, a "coffee man", or becoming a WWE wrestler.
